SANS Instrument (Small Angle Neutron Scattering)
The SANS instrument (Small Angle Neutron Scattering) is dedicated to the study of large-scale structures at the nanometer scale, typically ranging from a few nanometers to several hundred nanometers. It analyzes neutron scattering at very small angles in order to reveal the internal organization of matter.
This technique is particularly suitable for the study of polymers, colloids, nanoparticles, porous materials, biomolecules and complex systems. It provides information about the size, shape, distribution and interactions of the observed structures.
Within the framework of the ICONE project, the SANS instrument provides researchers with a powerful tool to explore materials at the nanometer scale and to understand the mechanisms governing their physical, chemical and biological properties.
