    Neutron Guides

    Neutron guides are essential components of the ICONE facility, allowing the neutron beam to be transported from the source to the different experimental instruments. They ensure efficient and controlled transmission of neutrons over long distances.

    These guides operate based on the principle of total internal reflection on specially treated surfaces (often coated with low-absorption materials). They minimize neutron losses and preserve the beam intensity while directing it according to the requirements of the experimental beamlines.
